Coming off the bad bitch anthem “Syrup”, Tkay Maidza switches lanes and shares her softer side on “Cashmere”. The track takes us to the vulnerability behind the confident exterior — letting us know that the same girl who knows she’s too good for you has also been hurt and given second chances to people who probably didn’t deserve them.

If Tkay has proven to be consistent about anything, it’s her stunning visuals. Every video is next level and “Cashmere” is no exception — setting Tkay as flower child in a lush, vibrant landscape and floating through purple skies. Both “Syrup” and “Cashmere” are off the newly announce EP Last Year Was Weird Vol. 3 out July 9th, which follows up on the previous two installation.
