Spider-Man 4 may be even crazier than fans expected! Tom Holland teases a brand new direction for his hero in the highly-anticipated sequel.
Fans have been itching for any news they can get their hands on when it comes to Spider-Man 4. With the sequel now nearly three years in the making, expectations are higher than ever for Marvel to blow everyone away. And with Tom Holland recently revealing that production on the movie is set to start in the middle of next year, the hype train has started rolling once more across the net.
Tom Holland himself is also joining in on the hype. When speaking about the production of Spider-Man 4 and his new non-alcoholic beer brand on Good Morning America, Holland revealed that the sequel is going to be different than anything he’s done before under the Marvel Studios banner. However, he’s more than confident that fans will enjoy the new direction they’re taking with the film.
“The idea is crazy. It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans are gonna really respond to it.”
The New Direction For Spider-Man 4
There’s been two prevailing rumors about the direction Tom Holland and Marvel Studios are taking Spider-Man 4. The first, and longest running of the two, is the idea that the project will bring things back to a street-level for the iconic webhead. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin was reportedly being considered to take on the role of the main villain. However, recent developments have suggested that plan is being put on the backburner.
The second rumor is that Spider-Man 4 will lean even harder into the multiverse elements that made Spider-Man: No Way Home a hit. It’s being reported that Sony Pictures is setting up Knull to be the next big bad for Tom Holland to face, even in spite of Marvel Studios’ hopes to make a street-level film. Though with Venom: The Last Dance releasing in just a few days, this rumor may be dispelled before it can even find its footing.
