And… she thinks he’s an even bigger jerk than the groom. *snort* 😛 Ahhhh I have a feeling a good time awaits!

Sometimes being wrong can be a lot more fun than being right.

Wrong Turn, an all-new laugh-out-loud enemies-to-lovers romance from New York Times bestselling author Samantha Chase, is available now!

So what’s it about?

Chelsea Cooper thinks her best friend’s fiancé is the world’s biggest jerk.

She’s never really been one to make waves, but when it comes to that guy, Chelsea’s willing to make an exception. There’s just no way she can let her best friend make the biggest mistake of her life by marrying him. She’ll do anything to stop the wedding, even if it means teaming up with the one person who’s an even bigger jerk—the groom-to-be’s best friend.

Drew Russo thinks his best friend’s fiancée’s best friend is the prickliest woman alive.

Everything about Chelsea aggravates him. She’s too structured, too uptight, and too opinionated—especially when it comes to her thoughts on his best friend. When he’s tasked with keeping her away from their best friends’ secret wedding, Drew knows he’s in for one hell of a challenge. Never mind the days he’ll have to spend trapped in a car with the world’s most annoying woman.

The plan is simple enough—keep Chelsea from interfering with the wedding. But between distractions, delays and detours, they discover they aren’t the enemies they thought they were. And sometimes a wrong turn can lead you in the right direction.

Warning—This sweet, sexy, and laugh out loud funny romance is filled with all the most ridiculous road trip stories you can imagine and will make you realize sometimes being wrong can be a lot more fun than being right.

Excerpt

“Trouble in paradise?”

If they weren’t in a car doing seventy on the interstate, Drew would have punched something–not Chelsea, but definitely something.

“Thanks to you, not only are we walking into an openly hostile situation, but I’m going to have a throwdown with my best friend.”

“And you’re afraid you’re going to lose?”

Slowly he twisted in his seat until he was facing her. “Excuse me?”

“I mean, Jimmy’s definitely bigger than you. Bulkier too. I bet he could seriously kick your ass.”

“He is not bigger or stronger than me!” he countered angrily. “I can bench way more than he can. He’s gotten soft from all his girly weekends with Bianca. Trust me, I was feeling bad because I didn’t want to have to mess him up before his wedding.”

She snorted quietly, but he heard it.

“It’s the truth!” he yelled. “I may not think this wedding is a good idea either, but I’m not looking to ruin it!”

“Trust me, you won’t.”

It seemed like a perfectly innocent comment to make, but…

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I’m sure if they tell the photographer to be careful about taking pictures of Jimmy’s hands, they should be fine.”

“You seriously believe he’d win in a fight with me? Is that what you’re saying?”

She shrugged and made some little noncommittal sound.

Seething, he needed to get out of the car and just…he needed a few minutes. “Get off at the next exit.”

“Why?”

“Just do it!”

“Okay, okay…sheesh. If you need to use the bathroom, just say it. No need to freak out.”

“I don’t have to use…” He stopped himself. “That’s not why, dammit! Just get off at the next exit and find a place for us to switch places.”

“Oh, no,” she countered, shaking her head. “No way. You are not getting behind the wheel while you’re all freaked out. Did you learn nothing yesterday?”

“Yesterday?”

“Yeah, when I was driving while freaking out? Was that enjoyable for you as the passenger?”

“No, but…”

“Then there’s no way I’m switching places with you. Maybe when you calm down I’ll think about it…”

“Think about it? It’s my damn car!”

“But I’m the one driving.”

“Chelsea!”

“Drew!” She mimicked his tone and that just pissed him off even more.

Raking his hands through his hair, he growled with frustration. “I wanted to get out and just work off some of this aggravation! Maybe walk around a bit! Is that too much to ask?”

“As a matter of fact, it is,” she replied primly.

“Excuse me?”

Nodding, she explained, “You’re being completely unreasonable right now. For all I know, we’ll pull over and I’ll go use the restroom, and you’ll leave me there! Then what the hell would I do, huh? You’ve essentially kidnapped me, and then I get dumped on the side of the road somewhere in the backwoods of North Carolina? Um…no thank you.”

“Kidnapped you?” he cried with disbelief. “Kidnapped you? How the hell did we end up there?”

“You lured me into your car under false pretenses, took me to multiple–and incorrect–destinations, and…”

“Hey, you’re free to leave at any time,” he snapped. “No one’s holding you against your will. As a matter of fact, you were free to walk away at any time! You could have gone into the airport when we were there, but you didn’t.”

Ha! Think about that, missy!

“Oh, really?”

“Yeah, really.”

“And you would have just let me go and not tried to stop me?”

Dammit.

“Okay, fine. I would have tried to stop you. But never at any point have I told you that you couldn’t leave. And, may I remind you, you didn’t seem to mind staying with me last night! Last night you were more than happy to be with me!”

All over me…whatever…

Gasping, she glared at him. “I cannot believe you’re throwing that back at me! How dare you!”

“Yeah, well…you know I’m right, Chelsea. And you know what?”

“What?” she snapped.

In that moment, Drew knew he wasn’t really mad at her. Well…he sort of was, but he was more pissed off at himself. She was right; Jimmy always was trying to tell him what to do, and he never seemed to appreciate all the sh!t Drew did for him. This entire situation had gotten out of hand, but he had no idea what to do to reel it in.

His entire body relaxed slightly. “I don’t regret a thing about last night,” he said after a minute. “It was an amazing night and I was having a great time with you all day until Jimmy interrupted.” Letting out a long breath, he leaned back in his seat so he was facing forward again. “I’m sorry, Chels. This whole situation is just crazy.”

She didn’t respond right away and he thought she was going to keep arguing with him, but when she did respond, she surprised him.

“Can I let you in on a little secret?”

“Sure.”

Glancing at him, she had a small grin on her face. “I’ve been having fun, too.”
