Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible – Fallout”) is set to star in the TV series adaptation of Hugh Howey’s best-selling book trilogy “Wool” for Apple Studios.

The story is set in a ruined and toxic future where a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. Men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them.

Ferguson will portray Juliette, an independent and hardworking engineer. A straight-to-series order has been handed out for the project which hails from showrunner Graham Yost (“Justified”).

Morten Tyldum (“The Imitation Game”) will direct the series and executive produce alongside Ferguson, Yost, Howey, Remi Aubuchon, Nina Jack and Ingrid Escajeda.
