Crack Cloud’s “in-the-round” show was everything you would want from an intimate experience. They had everyone hooked in with all kinds of views from every angle. The show ticked all the boxes for me as one of the best of the year personally. First and foremost because they sounded incredible at Le Poisson Rouge. Secondly, it was incredibly intimate being so close and engaged to every members performance, such as drummer and frontman, Zach Choy’s. Zach’s posture and emotions throughout the show was a lovely development to observe. As well as towards the end of the set, the keyboardist hops off stage to join a cellist on a grand piano. It was continuing with the theme of intimacy, creativity, and staying engaged, which is hard to come by in a show every day. Crack Cloud demands and exemplifies all three.
