Peacemaker gets a whole new look! A redesign of the iconic hero’s helmet has been revealed in promo art for season 2 of the beloved series.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting any news they could get about Peacemaker season 2. The show has had a gruelingly long hiatus since James Gunn has taken the reigns at DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, not to mention the director making his own Superman film to kick off a reboot of what could be a new multi-billion dollar franchise. This has left the series understandably, albeit disappointingly, in a bit of a holding pattern.
Yet with a release window for season 2 now locked down, promotion for Peacemaker has slowly begun to ramp up. Nothing crazy, a small teaser here and a still image there, but enough to wet the whistle of fans who have been waiting on the edge of their seat for the series to return. Perhaps the most meaty bit of material provided is promo art on a sticker given to the hair and makeup team for the project, revealing a complete redesign for the character’s iconic helmet.

Peacemaker’s New Helmet In Season 2
This redesign is a departure from prior takes on Peacemaker’s helmet, ditching the iconic fin around the base as seen in prior in the series. However, this discrepancy may be on purpose, as some have pointed out this new helmet looks eerily similar to the helmet worn by the character on a mural in set photos taken during the filming of season 2’s premiere. Many speculate that the version of the character seen in the mural could be the version of the character native to the new DC Universe, meaning this promo art could be fans’ first look at the show’s villain!
This also isn’t the only new helmet confirmed for Peacemaker season 2. John Cena himself recently posted a photo revealing new headwear for the character as filming on the series continued on. While not much can be gleamed from the post, it does at least confirm that more variations on the iconic helmet will debut when the project lands in the DC Universe.
