After performing at Coachella and receiving a Latin Grammy nomination, Latin Mafia’s debut album has finally arrived. Last night (Oct. 25), the Mexican trio released the LP TODOS LOS DÍAS TODO EL DÍA with a chaotic music video for the song “Siento Que Merezco Más.”
After filling arenas across Mexico last year, Latin Mafia spent the first half of 2024 performing abroad in music festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza Argentina, and Sueños. The trio is composed of Mike de la Rosa and his twin brothers Emilio and Milton. As an indie act, the guys have explored all types of genres, like symphonic pop in “Patadas de Ahogado” with Humbe, reggaeton in “Julietota,” and R&B in “No Digas Nada.” In July, Latin Mafia signed with Bad Bunny’s record label Rimas Entertainment. They’re pushing Latine pop into alternative territory with their first album TODOS LOS DÍAS TODO EL DÍA.
“In this project, we embrace all those emotions, expressed through music that openly shouts change: pain, sadness, happiness, and hatred—feelings that all day, every day we may experience,” Latin Mafia shared in a statement.
On Sunday night, Latin Mafia held a listening session at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. Over 19,000 fans gathered to hear the first listen of TODOS LOS DÍAS TODO EL DÍA as the guys danced, splashed in water, and collided into each other onstage. The only featured artist on the album is the voice of their grandmother in the song “Tengo Mucho Ruido.”
Electronica, rock, and flamenco collide in the emotional song “Siento Que Merezco Más.” Milton and Emilio sing about finding solace in romance. The music video for “Siento Que Merezco Más” was directed by STILLZ, who has worked with Bad Bunny and Rosalía. Latin Mafia appears to look for human interaction with mannequins. One of the brothers is later seen making out with a mannequin.
Latin Mafia is nominated for Best New Artist at the 2024 Latin Grammy Awards, which will take place on Nov. 14.
