Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS has garnered an impressive celebrity roster since its start in 2019. Some of the brand’s campaign stars have included supermodel Kate Moss, music royalty Paris Jackson, and Victoria’s Secret veterans Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel to name a few.
Now, Kardashian has upped the star power by tapping celebrities across four decades for the launch of her new SKIMS Bras campaign, shot and directed by multidiscipline artist Vanessa Beecroft.
Ageless superstar Brooke Shields stripped down to her skivvies for the solution-oriented brand. In 1980, Shields provocatively posed the question, “You want to know what comes in between me and my Calvins?” in a now-infamous Calvin Klein ad. 42 years later, it seems like her answer may very well now be SKIMS.
In a campaign clip, 49-year-old Yellowjackets star Juliette Lewis says, “I used to want my name to be Tammy, and I wanted big boobs and hips.” Joined by 47-year-old comedian, actress, and author Chelsea Handler, the women all muse over how they feel about their bodies.
“I would duct tape them down before I went to school,” Handler remembered. “It took me until I was about 40 to really understand that my boobs are awesome.”
A next generation of talented creatives were tapped for the campaign as well, including singers Becky G, Cassie, and Pose star Indya Moore.
“We want all women to feel comfortable in their bras, but more importantly, confident. This is SKIMS biggest campaign yet, and I couldn’t be more honored to have worked with the amazing women who brought it to life,” Kardashian said in a statement. “Confidence starts within, and with this campaign, we are bringing all women together to celebrate all bodies and individuality.”
Emphasizing that the new SKIMS bras are for everyone, these six superstars are joined by 50 women from a diverse array of backgrounds, emphasizing that no matter how different they are, they all share at least one thing in common – female confidence.
SKIMS commemorated the milestone with a post on Instagram: “After 3 years of development, this complete system of bras has been developed for the needs of every woman, to provide the best comfort and shape you’ll ever wear.”
Celebrating individuality, SKIMS was created with comfort and support in mind for every woman. In SKIMS’ signature neutral tones, styles from the “Weightless” collection, the “No Show” collection, and the “Naked” collection are available in strapless, full-coverage, demi-cup, balconette, and wireless silhouettes in timeless designs.
