Kelly Clarkson is back as host of the Billboard Music Awards for the third year in a row: ‘I’m thrilled!’
Kelly Clarkson has been announced as the host of this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
The 37-year-old country crooner is used to the job: she already hosted the show in 2018 and 2019.
‘I’m thrilled to be back with my Billboard family,’ Kelly said. ‘I love being part of an event that celebrates our greatest artists and entertains our fans. This a night of music that you won’t want to miss!’

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards will air on April 29 on NBC.

This announcement comes after she returned as a coach for season 18 of NBC’s The Voice.
When promo photos were released, Clarkson poked fun at her look.
‘I feel like this is what I would look like with a boob job,’ she tweeted, adding a ‘rolling on the floor with laughter’ emoji.

The photo shows Kelly posing in a powder blue dress with a high collar and long sleeves.
Her long blonde hair is loose around her shoulders and she’s wearing statement earrings.
She tweeted: ‘I don’t know why my chest looks enormous in this pic but thank you to the Universe for this one ha! Finally!’
She added: ‘I also feel like all I need is a cape and then I’m ready to save some civilians y’all!
The solo shot is one of several that NBC had made available ahead of the return of the singing competition.

In season 18, Clarkson is reunited with coaches Blake Shelton and John Legend and the trio welcome newcomer Nick Jonas as the fourth judge.
The show, hosted by Carson Daly, premiered on February 24 at 8/7 c on NBC.
Clarkson, who found fame as the winner of the first season of American Idol in 2002, also hosts a daytime chat show for the network which has recently been renewed for a second season.
She’s been married to her manager Brandon Blackstock since 2013 and they share daughter River Rose, six, and son Remy, three, as well as co-parent two children from Brandon’s first marriage.
