This is probably the most appropriately timed post you will see today. Usaopoly (The Op) has announced a new board game Friday the 13th: Horror at Camp Crystal Lake. As you may have guessed, this is based on the classic slasher film series featuring Jason Voorhees. The game will be a press-your-luck game where each player takes on the role of a cliché camp counselor such as the Nerd, the Nice Guy, the Diva, the Partier, the Jock, and the Final Girl. You’ll have to survive five nights as you search camp for supplies like cast iron pans and flashlights.
Summertime fun is dying out at Camp Crystal Lake, where masked and murderous Jason Voorhees is on the hunt for camp counselor blood… and your unlucky day is looming. Grasp for as much lifesaving supply as possible to escape the vengeful serial killer’s slaughter and try to make it out alive through five nights in this edge-of-your-seat game of chance, strategy, and survival. Reach into the bag and see what you will find!
Horror at Camp Crystal Lake sounds like a very stressful game and is not for everyone. It is suggested that players be at least 17 years old and the game is designed for 3-6 players. You’ll be able to purchase The Op’s new game sometime this summer with an MSRP of $29.99.
