H.J. Ramsay has given the Wonderland characters real names as in our world that Alice seems not to want to be a part. The Wonderland characters must learn a way to make ‘Wonderland’ wonderful again for all you live there. Alice has many decisions to make and to see how the relationships in Wonderland relate to her real life and which is more important to her. ‘Ever Alice’ is a novel of making choices and H.J. Ramsay wrote this version as a contemporary story of a grown up Alice and how Alice will come to grips with her life as a whole. This is a story that has many decisions good and bad that Alice and the Wonderland characters have to make to help them feel safe and understood.
‘Ever Alice’ is a book that could be used as a supplemental reading for counseling and psychology students who want to help the mentally ill in some way to see how these people see their reality for what is or not. One question that readers could ask is ‘What are/is the relationship the you/we hold dear in our lives.
