Coheed and Cambria have announced their 10th album, The Father of Make Believe, due March 13 via Virgin Music Group. It continues the narrative of The Amory Wars / Vaxis universe, and there’s also a limited Vaxis Act III: The Father of Make Believe box set that features the album on CD and digital formats, plus “Blind Side Sonny’s fully wearable and functional helmet and neuro-dynamic display goggles, Vaxis Act III: The Father of Make Believe hardcover illustrated novella coffee table book, neuro-dynamic display goggles app for display customization, 11.5” x 35” Vaxis III: The Father of Make Believe bedroom poster and a signed Death Certificate of Siv Trafinder.” Find pre-orders here. The album features the band’s screamy, riffy recent single “Blind Side Sonny,” as well as the just-released “Searching For Tomorrow.” Compared to that one, the new song is more of a catchy, punchy, “A Favor House Atlantic”-style nugget, and it finds Coheed in fine form. It comes with an animated video by Anthony Scheppard, and you can check that out below.
Coheed currently have a few dates scheduled for 2025, including Tool’s destination festival in Punta Cana, and their own S.S. Neverender cruise with Thursday, L.S. Dunes, Illuminati Hotties, Pool Kids, Zulu, Kaonashi, The Callous Daoboys, Meet Me @ The Altar, Puddles Pity Party, and more.
L.S. Dunes (who count Coheed’s Travis Stever as a member, alongside members of Thursday, My Chemical Romance, and Circa Survive) also have a new album called Violet coming in January.
