Race 1. (11:15) Vital Hospitality Group Hcp 1200m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
Like 4 Resonator (Bet Now: $4.60 TOP ODDS) here for the WaterBott camp. Had the pattern in his corner when resuming at Canterbury but even allowing for that, he was dominant and impressive in a strong return. Clark rides again, he should find the top and this track can play dynamite on speed on occasion.
Danger
9 Zou Tiger (Bet Now: $8.50 TOP ODDS) looks the key threat for John O’Shea. He debuted on a complete bottomless at Canterbury where he led and gave a solid kick, but was no match late for a talented filly in Zougotcha. Back on firmer footing, run under the belt, he appeals.
Long Shot
2 Command Approved (Bet Now: $7.50 TOP ODDS) has the WaterBott polish and commands respect. The query is a strong 1200m but a potential soft run on speed helps his cause. Resumed over 1100m at Randwick where he attempted to lead throughout and gave a sight but condition just gave out when third. He’ll sit near the front comfortably and prove hard to run down, though last bit will test.
Race 2. (11:50) Tab Highway Hcp (C3) 1200m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
14 Poita (Bet Now: $13.00 TOP ODDS) is yet to tick the 1200m box but is racing like he will eat it up. Last couple of runs have come over 1000m at Port Macquarie, the latest a narrow second, closing off with purpose. Gets a significant jockey upgrade, he maps to park off a good speed and be strong late.
Danger
6 Easy Rosie (Bet Now: $11.00 TOP ODDS) will jump on the bunny and look to give her all. That is what she did at Canberra fresh, with sustained speed from the front coming to the fore in an impressive return. Good test here in what looks a strong Highway, but lightly raced with a good racing style, she’ll give a sight.
Long Shot
5 Velorum (Bet Now: $15.00 TOP ODDS) is a Not A Single Doubt for Paul Messara that resumes. He hasn’t raced since November 23 at Newcastle when close up behind a handy one for Kris Lees in Miracle Day. Not the best of winning strike rates, but has shown enough to suggest he has talent, and his two trials have been strong.
Race 3. (12:25) Midway (Bm72) 1200m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
Looks a lovely race for 5 Miss Fox (Bet Now: $11.00 TOP ODDS) for local trainer Adam Duggan. Narrow second fresh at the midweeks at Canterbury before going to Hawkesbury when okay on shifty ground behind a handy horse in Garrison. Third up, hard fit, it looks a target race and draws perfect. She’ll do me.
Danger
7 Dalaalaat (Bet Now: $9.50 TOP ODDS) will love a firmer deck. He’s flying I think for Nathan Doyle but he can’t find a firmer deck. Has found Rosehill bogs in both runs back and has been solid but hasn’t been as effective as we know he can be. His best likely sees him go close to winning. Just needs luck from the gate.
Long Shot
2 Two Up (Bet Now: $11.00 TOP ODDS) is a very honest animal for David Atkins. Just finding it hard to win but he’s racing in good form. Ran at the midweeks at Warwick Farm last start and tried his guts out again, just couldn’t quite finish it off when a game second to Cafe Royal. One for exotics.
Race 4. (13:00) Triple M Thunder Thousand-Bm72 1000m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
Confident that 7 Siege (Bet Now: $4.00 TOP ODDS) can resume a winner. James Cummings trained winner that resumes, having not raced since October 9 at Goulburn where she found a solid 64 but made an absolute mess of them and was dominate, as expected. Trials leading in have been strong and she’s the one on the up.
Danger
5 Dehorned Unicorn (Bet Now: $3.90 TOP ODDS) is a Joe Pride trained three year old that resumes. Son of Star Witness that hasn’t raced since November 26 at Canterbury when down the track behind a Stakes class horse, Bacchanalia. Liked his trials leading into this and gets in well after the claim.
Long Shot
8 Nicci’s Song (Bet Now: $9.00 TOP ODDS) could sneak a first four spot. Good late fresh in the Flat Knacker on Albury Cup Day. She then raced on Anzac Day on the Kenso track when ridden more positively and she looked home when kicking clear, but was run down late by Stoical. She’ll give a sight for a stable which is going well.
Race 5. (13:35) Byrne Pipe And Civil (Bm78) 2080m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
5 Military Mission (Bet Now: $4.80) is a progressive import for WaterBott that will jump on the bunny and take beating. Dominant winner at Canterbury two back before repeating the dose at Hawkesbury where he made a mess of an average bunch. Good test here with the weight, but he could book a ticket to Brisbane with another win.
Danger
6 Main Stage (Bet Now: $7.00) is racing in near career best from for Gwenda Markwell. He has won two on the bounce, the latest seeing him make an absolute mess of them from the front at Warwick Farm on quite testing ground. Harder, but he’ll be on speed and giving a sight.
Long Shot
12 Stellar Performer (Bet Now: $12.00) is progressive for Brad Widdup and should be strong late. Ran over 1900m at Canterbury last start when back off the speed and spotted Main Stage a decent start but liked the way she finished the race off when third. Like her up to 2100m and dangerous if she can settle closer in the run.
Race 6. (14:10) Brook Group (Bm72) 1600m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
12 Hollywood North (Bet Now: $10.00) is heading in the right direction for Chris Waller and I think has to be respected here. Strong maiden winner at Kembla two back before proving that was no fluke, spanking them on the Kenso track on Anzac Day, landing good bets in the process. He can keep winning.
Danger
3 Galaxy Belle (Bet Now: $10.00) is a quality mare for Kris Lees when right and I think she deserves a chance again. Last run came in the Epona on Slipper Day where she struggled on the bottomless track in a total forgive. Tick over trial was pretty good and back to the mile, with class, she commands respect.
Long Shot
9 Holstein (Bet Now: $10.00) is getting towards peak fitness. Blinkers went on him when racing on Anzac Day on the Kenso track and it had the desired effect, working home solidly when second to Rangi Toa. First up run was a howler, but the Blinkers seem to switch him on, so I think he comes here with a shout.
Race 7. (14:45) Gosford Gold Cup 2080m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
2 Great House (Bet Now: $4.40) for me. Chris Waller trained stayer that has been freshened up with eyes towards Brisbane. Latest run came in the Chairmans when down the track on the bottomless at Randwick behind Nerve Not Verve. Tick over trial was good, he has class and will be strong late.
Danger
1 Numerian (Bet Now: $7.50) appears to be a working progress for Annabel Neasham and is in with a shout. Was suited by the track pattern at Randwick last time and ran well in defeat, albeit no match for Polly Grey, who led them a merry dance from the front. Got upside to come, he commands respect.
Long Shot
7 Kaapfever (Bet Now: $8.50) could pinch a first four spot. Joe Pride veteran that went through the Sydney Cup path and was okay. He then ran two weeks back at Randwick and battled away well in defeat behind Irish Sequel. Back up in trip, he draws soft and will keep plugging away.
Race 8. (15:25) Takeover Target Stakes 1200m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
9 Blondeau (Bet Now: $15.00) is a horse I’m very wary of. Chris Waller gelding that is first up, having not raced since the Magic Millions Sprint when down the track and looking a tired horse behind Isotope. Just one soft trial to get ready, but with a good speed in front, he’ll launch late.
Danger
6 Gravina… (Bet Now: $4.40) gee he’s a frustrating horse. I thought yep, he’s back, after a dominant first up win here. He then came back in trip at Rosehill and was getting warm late. Then went to the Star Kingdom at Newcastle where he took forever to wind up but was good late. He’s hard to trust, but his best sees him go close.
Long Shot
10 Majestic Shot (Bet Now: $7.00) is racing very well for Grant Allard. Thrown in the deep end a few weeks ago in the Sapphire Stakes and she didn’t disgrace herself at all behind Bella Nipotina on a very shifty track. First up run was a beauty and I reckon a fast run 1200m will suit her.
Race 9. (16:05) The Coast 1600m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
1 Our Playboy (Bet Now: $6.50) has found winning form and if the track remains to have genuine give in it, he can hold the winning form. Lovely ride from J Mac saw him bolt up three weeks ago at Randwick, lapping up the conditions. Form out of that stood up in the Hawkesbury Cup last Saturday so he’s hard to beat here.
Danger
4 O’President (Bet Now: $13.00) will put himself on speed and try hard. Market wanted him at a price when resuming over 1400m at Newcastle where he sat on a strong speed and was entitled to knock up but he found when required and was too good. Trialled well leading in so is he back on track?
Long Shot
5 Old Flame (Bet Now: $9.50) is a horse with talent for Team Snowden. UK galloper that made his Australian debut with a strong win at Sandown before going to Caulfield where he chased strongly and was good late when second to Paperboy. Third up now and hard fit, he’ll take beating.
Race 10. (16:45) Tooheys (Bm78) 1200m
* Above offers may only be available to select customers.
Back Me
6 Sibaaq (Bet Now: $14.00) is a very interesting runner. Former UK galloper that makes his Australian debut for Annabel Neasham. He produced some decent efforts over 1400m-1600m, so resuming at seven furlongs I do like for him and his two trials leading in have been more than encouraging, so keen to see how he goes.
Danger
16 Sunborn (Bet Now: $17.00) looks to have come back in really good order. Ed Cummings trained mare that was backed with confidence when resuming in a Midway at Randwick and despite the track being absolutely bottomless, she had panels on them re class and bolted in. She’s come back a better horse and should take beating once again.
Long Shot
3 Soami (Bet Now: $26.00) will love getting back to 78 grade. He ran in a strong 88 at Randwick three weeks ago and finished off hard nearer the inside, running a game second to Much Much Better. He was suited by the pattern, but he was way out of grade on paper, so the run had merit. Back to 78 grade, he is hard to beat.
